i don't get political

which is why i turned down an offer from jeff to be interviewed later this week by GMA (a filipino channel) regarding the recent lifting of the gay marriage ban in california. but my sister in law just alerted me this afternoon to the fact that my aunt - my dad's sister - had sent an email to my family to sign a petition to REVERSE the ruling. i'm not sure if my whole family received it. i did not. i am not out to my relatives. it's not because i'm afraid of them. in fact, i've wanted nothing more in the last few years since i came out to put it in their face that YES you've got a fag nephew. a fag cousin. but i don't. EVERYONE I LOVE KNOWS I'M GAY.

i'm sitting here at work and trying really hard to concentrate on my job and not the horrible request my aunt just sent everyone i'm related to. i'm not saying who's right and who's wrong, but FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU for thinking you have the right to say who is not allowed to love. FUCK YOU for not seeing past what you think others are doing wrong, when you have a lot to work on your marriage. FUCK YOU for being my blood relative. i never want to see your face, your cold-hearted husband's, or any of your "preach the word of Christ" followers again. understand what you're reading in the Bible and you tell me what love means. because i never learned it from you, and will never feel it for you.
