steal my sunshine

had a great memorial day weekend. went to asia de cuba friday night to celebrate jeff's cousin's 21st (eek!) birthday. damn i feel older every minute. got hammered from their drinks that cost almost $20 each. spent much of saturday at the biggity-biggity-M. watched "the queen" on DVD with my mom and babysat dean. went to church and visited my grandma at the cemetery sunday morning. drove to santa monica later that afternoon for isis' backyard bbq. good times. good times with lots of cerveza. having a monday off is a rare treat, especially since yesterday's weather was near perfect. sunny and clear. shared the experience over the phone with sotiris. sent a lot of love and sunshine his way, except the package hasn't arrived yet. i called up the girls to either go to the beach or go bike riding. decided on going to jeff's and swimming instead. to cap off an amazingly summer weekend, i met up with coworkers and carmen in weho. had margaritas and tex mex at marix, then more cerveza at hamburger mary's. went to bed right before midnight with a smile on my face.
